When you choose Dachies of London, you’re choosing quality, integrity, and exceptional service. We prioritise the health and well-being of our puppies above all else, ensuring they receive the best start in life. With our personalised approach and ongoing support, we strive to make the adoption process as smooth and enjoyable as possible for both you and your new furry friend.
We work exclusively with stud dogs from a renowned breeder who shares our commitment to excellence in health, temperament, and breeding standards. These exquisite, fully health tested studs have been carefully selected not only for their outstanding genetic health but also for their amazing temperaments that perfectly complement our girls. This thoughtful pairing ensures we’re producing the best possible puppies – combining the finest bloodlines with the gentle, loving natures that make our Dachshunds such wonderful family companions. By choosing studs that enhance and balance our dogs’ qualities, we’re able to consistently produce puppies with exceptional health, temperament, and conformation.
Our breeding programme prioritises the health and wellbeing of our Dachshunds through comprehensive genetic testing and health screening. All our breeding dogs are tested and cleared for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA-CORD1/PRA-crd4) ensuring they are free from this hereditary eye condition that can lead to blindness. We also conduct thorough health evaluations including Mucopolysaccharidosis 111A, Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 1&2, Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
Our commitment to health testing means you can have confidence that your puppy comes from healthy, genetically sound parents, giving them the best possible start in life. All health certificates and test results are available for review, demonstrating our transparency and dedication to producing healthy, long-lived Dachshunds for loving families.
The puppy is guaranteed healthy at time of sale, with a veterinary health certificate provided. Buyer has 72 hours to have the puppy examined by their own vet, with right to return if serious health issues are discovered.
Registration Papers: Kennel Club registration papers will be provided either at point of collection or within 30 days of purchase, on the day you’ll be supplied with all paperwork mentioned and any relevant health testing results of the parents.
Return Policy: Should the buyer be unable to keep the puppy, the breeder has first right of refusal and the puppy must be returned rather than surrendered to a rescue centre.
We want to make it clear to all prospective families that our puppies are sold as pets only – we don’t sell breeding rights. We also only place our puppies with families where someone is home most of the day, as we believe puppies need constant companionship and care to thrive. We simply won’t sell to households where everyone works full-time, as this wouldn’t be fair on the puppy.
All of our dogs and puppies are raised right here in our family home, where they’re part of our daily life from the moment they’re born. They’re handled from a young age and given so much love and attention, which helps them develop into wonderfully affectionate and social companions. This means they’re naturally accustomed to the typical sounds and activities of a busy household – from the hoover and washing machine to doorbells ringing and visitors coming and going. By living alongside our family, our puppies develop into well-adjusted, confident dogs who aren’t easily startled by everyday noises or new situations. This early socialisation in a real home environment gives them a tremendous advantage as they transition to their new families, arriving already comfortable with the sights, sounds, and rhythms of family life. When you welcome one of our puppies into your home, you can be confident they’re already prepared for the wonderful chaos that comes with being a beloved family pet.
We are a fully licensed breeder, operating under all relevant regulations and standards required for professional dog breeding. Our license ensures we maintain the highest standards of animal welfare, health, and breeding practices. Being licensed means we’re regularly inspected and held accountable to strict guidelines that protect both our breeding dogs and the puppies we produce. This gives you complete peace of mind that your puppy comes from a responsible, regulated breeding environment where health, temperament, and welfare are our top priorities. Our license demonstrates our commitment to ethical breeding practices and ensures we meet all legal requirements for breeding and selling puppies.
